Selection FAQ

Does the system emit any signal?

No. RF detection is fully passive, which makes it suitable for sites where transmissions are restricted and for covert monitoring.

Can it find the pilot?

Yes. The same link that controls the drone points back to the operator. Direction finding reports the bearing to both the drone and its controller, and multi-station setups can fix a position.

What happens with autonomous drones that fly silent?

Pre-programmed drones with no active link cannot be detected by RF alone. Pairing RF with radar covers autonomous and silent flight profiles.
